Ritz-Carlton debuts in Kazakhstan capital

20 Jul 2017
Luxury hotel operator The Ritz-Carlton has opened a location in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan.

Owned by Verny Capital Group, the hotel offers a wide range of wellness facilities, including a spa and 320sq m (3,444sq ft) fitness studio with the latest Technogym Artis equipment. Spa amenities include dry and steam sauna, swimming pool and whirlpool. Therapists use salt from the Himalayas and the healing power of water to soothe the skin; The face and body treatments are designed to tone, firm, lift and beautify.

The 157-bedroom Ritz-Carlton Astana is located within the Talan Towers, which was designed by US architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and features views of the city and skyline of Astana. The hotel is also a natural extension of the square around the nearby Bayterek Tower, a monument and symbol of modern Astana.

“Much like the monument it overlooks, The Ritz-Carlton, Astana represents the future of Astana and acknowledges the city’s growing power and prominence,” said Hervé Humler, president and COO, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
