Davina Bernard named director of wellness at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
14 Jul 2017 Davina Bernard has been named director of wellness at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Canada, and will lead a new series of wellness programming at the iconic mountain resort.Bernard brings more than 17 years of experience to her new role, and will oversee the development and operation of a new series of holistic and transformative wellness experiences created by The Wellness Agency.
“Davina’s dedication to the community, coupled with her personal interest and enthusiasm for health and wellness will be instrumental in the successful expansion of our programme, while allowing our guests to enjoy a renewed level of Zen at Lake Louise,” said Gregor Resch, general manager of Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
The new wellness programme is based on the pillars of mindfulness, meditation, creativity, happiness, resilience and optimal wellbeing, and features a series of wellness retreats with instructors from Canada and the US. Each retreat is designed to help guests discover a deeper connection to relaxation and peacefulness, while learning new skills that will help them enhance their health and wellbeing. The Chateau will use its mountainous lakeside setting within the Canadian Rocky Mountains as the backdrop for these experiences.
Amy McDonald of Under a Tree provided consulting services as the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise looked to grow its programming, supported recruitment, and recommended The Wellness Agency. McDonald is now collaborating on brand messaging for the resort.
“It’s truly an honour to support and collaborate with this iconic hotel to bring wellness offerings to a deeper level, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding wilderness,” said McDonald.
