Dior Spa at Cheval Blanc Paris introduces wellbeing programme for new mothers and babies
09 Apr 2026Dior Spa at Cheval Blanc Paris, France, has created a wellbeing programme for women during the early stages of motherhood, called the Haute Motherhood Retreat.
The programme involves wellbeing experts listening to and supporting women’s concerns with a focus on letting go in moments of uncertainty. This holistic approach is combined with a range of treatments designed to help women rediscover their bodies.
Anne-Louise Pothier, international director of hospitality and spa at Dior Beauty, told Spa Business exclusively, “At the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc, we are witnessing a growing awareness around women’s wellbeing at every stage of life. Motherhood, and particularly the post-partum period, is a time when women seek tailored support and care. With our Haute Motherhood programme, we wanted to respond to this need by creating a deeply personalised and holistic journey, designed by our wellness experts to nurture both body and mind.
“The programme also extends to early bonding, offering mothers the opportunity to learn soothing massage techniques for their baby from three months,” she said. “Through this comprehensive approach, we aim to create a true cocoon of care supporting women as they regain balance, energy and a sense of fulfilment during this profound and precious chapter of their lives.”
Post-partum
Women can take part in the programme three months after having given birth, subject to medical approval. The activations have also been curated for babies to join from the age of three months.
Pothier added: “The rituals and techniques can be adapted as they grow, up to four years old. This allows the experience to evolve alongside the child, while maintaining its core intention of nurturing connection, comfort, and wellbeing."
When asked how babies would be soothed to maintain volume levels for other spa clients, Pothier said: “Each session is guided by a dedicated beauty ambassador, who delicately shows the parent how to massage their baby. The parent then reproduces these slow, soothing movements, creating a harmonious ‘dance' of gestures. Structured in three gentle chapters, the learning unfolds progressively, offering a serene sensory journey within the reassuring cocoon of parental closeness.
“Because the techniques are intentionally slow, rhythmic, and deeply calming, they naturally help to relax and soothe the baby,” said Pothier. “The experience is designed to settle rather than stimulate, ensuring that the overall atmosphere remains peaceful and perfectly aligned with the spa’s tranquil environment for all guests.”
Treatments
“The programme brings together a curated selection of expert treatments focused on post-natal recovery and gentle reconnection with the body,” added Pothier. “It includes the Restorative Flow post-natal massage, specifically designed to support physical recovery, as well as a four-hand Rebozo ritual, which symbolically and physically accompanies this transition.”
Pothier described the Rebozo ritual: “The Rebozo ritual at Cheval Blanc Paris is a luxurious, two-hour postpartum wellness experience designed for new mothers, often featuring the 'Closing the Bones' technique. Using traditional Mexican shawls, it aims to physically and symbolically close the body after childbirth through massage, heat, and tight wrapping to provide comfort and alignment.”
The entire programme includes:
- Baby massage (45 min)
- Postnatal massage (1h30)
- Four-handed Rebozo ritual (2h)
- Postnatal yoga (1hr)
- Hypopressive breathing + Reiki (1h45)
- Micro-Abrasion Dior Spa Cheval Blanc facial (1h30)
- New Look body treatment (1h)
- Access to the spa pool, sauna, steam room and snow shower
The number of appointments and treatments can be adapted over time and they can also be booked à la carte.
The price for the retreat starts at €2,500 (US$2,725, £2,125) and the spa has also made it possible to gift the experience in the form of a voucher.
